The Robb Family

We got involved in LACL to gain the support and acquire the skills we needed to advocate for our children.  As well to learn and see the world of disabilities in a big picture view not just the here and now.

LACL is a lifelong family that offers mentorship, leadership, friendship and hope to the families they support.  They offer clarity, support and wisdom when other professionals are telling you not to hope and dream for your children.  It is like a light house that you can go to whenever you feel like you are hitting a wall and need support.  A safe place where you can get emotional support as well as have an opportunity to acquire the skills to advocate for your family and other people in the community, province and nation.

Having the opportunity to be mentored by older families who have walked ahead of you and can offer you support, wisdom, encouragement and hope for the future.  It offers emotional support, social connections, the skills and tools to advocate and make a difference in the community.
