Partnerships

LACL does not depend on municipal, provincial or federal funding. We are proud of our independence because it ensures that we are able to advocate freely for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

That means that most of our funding comes from our partners in the community as well as our own fundraising efforts. Some project funding is supported by government resources.

Many of our partners offer financial support, which we gladly accept. These donations are tax deductible and help us to fulfill our mandate on behalf of people with developmental disabilities and their families.

Other partners offer their support in different ways.  Some of these include:

  • supporting our dinner and dance
  • donating services or products
  • donating to our resource library
  • volunteering for events
  • sponsoring events

With LACL, we view our supporters as our partners. That's because we know and are proud that we:

  • are all people of this community
  • are working together to build something better
  • share vision for a good life
  • believe that there is strength in numbers

A better community for all is something that anyone can invest in,
whatever their particular form of investment may be.

Every day we work steadily toward our vision and gather strength in our ability to advocate for those in our community who cannot always advocate for themselves.

If you, your business or organization could assist us in achieving our goals, we encourage you to contact us
